this past weekend we took the kids to the Schwaan Downs Horse Races.....quite a preppy affair, and quiet exhausting with kids this little, but we had a good time!

It is officially fall...and we love it, although we are still enjoying those summer temperatures! We head to Michigan this coming weekend for my 10yr reunion from Hope College (can't wait to see you all) and for Brielle's baptism..should be a fun and busy weekend! Braydon is very excited to see his grandparents and friends from Michigan.

Braydon started his new school and so far loves it! He continues his "obsession" with trains, and has picked out several that he would like for Christmas....(we are talking the Lionel trains...) and continues to say something funny just about every day. Has decided that he will be Spiderman for Halloween (at least that is this week)

Brielle will be 1yrs old in 19 days...hard to believe it has been a year already, but she is changing very fast...taking a few steps here and there, and her personality is really starting to come out.....a very happy, spunky little girl.

Welcome September!

We are back from our week of the beach!
we had a great vacation in the Outer Banks, NC...what a wonderful week....only a little rain on the second day (which took away the humidity)...but otherwise blue skies and beautiful weather. The kids swam in the ocean (the first time they have been to the ocean...our kids) each day, swam in the pools, the hot tubs, went to Jockeys Ridge for some sand dune climbing, and played.....really played hard. All the kids (and adults) were tired each night. We enjoyed the time away and look forward to the next time we can go back.

now we enter into fall...school started this week....braydon started at his new school, so far so good. we have a busy fall ahead of us...and if you can believe it...Brielle is only 6 weeks away from turning 1! time has flown.
