Welcome Beckett Jane Bolt

Beckett Jane Bolt
born: March 27th, 2009 @12:54pm.
weight: 7 lbs 15 oz
length: 21.5 inches long.

We welcomed Beckett into the world this weekend and we are all very excited!  I had a very nice delivery which included a great epidural and only having to push 2 times!  We are all home now, and the adjustment begins....both kids seem very excited about their new sister, and willing to help.  We know the next few weeks, and months may be tough...but we are really excited to have this new sense of completion to our family!

sledding on the ice...without sleds....

i know the video is side ways, but you get the idea...the backyard was covered in ice...so brett was sliding the kids on their backs while in winter coats....comical! :)

The Grandma Bolt whistle.......

again with the catch up....

we headed to Las Vegas for Brett's 40th birthday.  I surprised him with a five day trip out west (my parents stayed in Maryland with the kids), and then surprised him again by having all 3 of this brothers, their wives and his parents meeting us there for a weekend of fun!  We all had a great time and it was so much fun!  I spent over a year planning this, organizing and pulling it all together and with the help of my family..it worked!  For those who know me, keeping secrets is not my strong point, so the fact that I hid this from him for 13 mos was amazing!  We were able to enjoy some quiet time without the kids, gamble a little, catch a Cirque show, the boys did the Richard Petty Driving Experience, and the girls spent some time at the spa.  We had some excellent meals, and spent a lot of time just enjoying adult conversation!

Now...we head into the next few weeks with anticipation and excitement.  I will be induced on March 27th (if she does not make her appearance before that) and at that time we will welcome our third child!

Brett turn 40....we head to Las Vegas for a getaway....

January....almost Feb...

Have not written in awhile....promise to get to those pics soon, have been really lazy about it.  We have been busy around here, getting projects done in the house, i painted the baby's room, and getting prepared for our new little one.  Overall..I am still feeling good, uncomfortable, tired, and not sleeping..but doing well.  I will load pictures soon, the kids are changing really fast...and Brielle is quickly learning that if she keeps up with her brother, she gets to do a lot more and also get into as much mischief (if not more) with him.  We had the tiniest bit of snow today and both kids were thrilled....we could only hope for those storms that our family and friends are getting in Michigan.

down the hill...the week before we came, they had over 2ft of snow...got a little warm and a ton melted...but, when your kid never sees snow....you can't deny him the opportunity to play some. :)

Christmas and Aunt Angela visits.....

We had a wonderful Christmas!
Aunt Angela visited the whole week before, and left on the 23rd......
and then we had our good friends over on the 24th...
and then spent the entire day of Christmas in our pajamas!
We are in Maryland for Christmas this year, but will be heading to Michigan on the 28th.  We enjoyed a day home just the four of us....it was great!
The kids had a lot of fun.
Brielle has been telling everyone (strangers included) that Santa would be bringing her a trampoline for Christmas...well, Santa came through!  The kids love it!  And...Brett and I have enjoyed multiple moments of togetherness in the past few days as the kids have turned a corner and really enjoy playing together!
We hope you all had a blessed holiday.....and look forward to the New Year!
