Beckett Rolled over...

Big week in the Bolt Household....

Beckett rolled over for the first time (back to belly, and belly to back), started eating rice cereal, applesauce and squash and started to try to sit up by herself, and loves her excersaucer!

Brielle has been successfully using the potty for 4 days now! She is very proud of herself (and her underwear) and so are we!

Braydon.....unfortunately he has been sick with a fever for the past couple days.

Brett and Kim: we had 2 nights out without kids.....

Beckett Jane: August 2009

time is flying...

beckett is already 4 1/2 mos old....where does the time go?  seriously..i may be sleep deprived (very much so), get nothing done around the house, and feel as though i have no time to myself...but this past four months has flown by and she is changing everyday!  she has really started to reach for things, attempting to grab my food out of my hand and tonight bringing a cup to her mouth.  slow down child!  some times i wish for it to go faster...so she could keep up with her siblings, and then i wish for it to go slower because she will most likely be our last and i want to enjoy all these baby times, but i really have no control..do I?  it just keeps moving along.  her stats at this time are 15 lbs 10 oz and 26 inches long.  when i look back at the kids baby books....she is as long as her brother but lighter and longer (by 1 1/2 inches) and bigger (by 1 1/2 lbs) than her sister.  

michigan 2009

there are just too many pics to post....we spent a very fun 5 1/2 weeks there this summer.  Brett was with us the first two weeks and the kids and I spent the rest of the time there hanging out with family and friends.  We absolutely feel at home while we are there and love every minute that we get to be there.  I was a little nervous with the thought of being there alone with the kids, but I had lots of help from others (thanks mom for spending the night so much) and the kids did really well.  It was the coldest month of July on record for Michigan....but temps were still in the seventies and warm, with great breezes from the lake as well.  

we now are back in Maryland...nice and hot here!  wow....but, we anticipate a fun month of August and then it is back to school.  Braydon is going into PreK this year and will be in school five mornings a week, and Brielle will be in 2 days a week (we picked up her Christian Preschool tote bag today....she is very excited!).  Hard to believe another summer is already flying by!  Beckett continues to change and we are loving all the stages with her....she is grabbing at everything now, lifting her chest off the ground, trying to roll, and loves to sit up like a big girl.....she is already 4 months old!  time flies.

9 weeks...

Beckett is 9 weeks tommorrow, and she was super sweet to sleep a 7 hour stretch last night (although i did not sleep a lot of it, at least she did).  She is smiling a lot now, and cooing all the time, it is amazing how fast it goes.  We watched a little home video today with the kids from the day that Beckett came home....hard to believe that 2 mos has already gone by.  Are things getting easier?  no...., but that is okay, it will change...it will.  Brett leaves on a trip this weekend, his first bit of travel since her birth (he will be gone 3 nights) and Leslie is coming to stay with me....not sure I was ready to tackle it all alone, although i do it everyday when he goes to work....but not the nights, nope...not ready for that.  I never knew that I would be capable of this, taking care of these little people the way I do, but I do it day in and day out.  I told Brielle today....three of the happiest days of my life were the birth of Braydon, Brielle and Beckett.  Thanks God for giving me these three little people.

7 weeks....

amazing!

we have made it to 7 weeks....it has gone fast, and it has gone slow.

i have not slept more than 4 hours at a time in sooo long, but....i really do not feel that bad.

some days i am exhausted, other days i feel as though i am unstoppable....

beckett is changing daily.....and now we are getting those big smiles, and lots of eye contact and even some cooing..it is wonderful!

i look forward to routine again, and schedule...but for now, i am just enjoying my littlest peanut and the joys of having a newborn around..as she is most likely our last child.....they grow so fast, and when i really stop to look at braydon and brielle..i am reminded of how fast they grow!  braydon is such a boy.....it is hard to believe he was once as small as beckett, & brielle talks non-stop...could it really be that at one time she depended on me the way her little sister did.....truly amazing!   as i sit here, my baby is sleeping on my bed as she had a very hard evening and i am just watching her sleep (the bed is still made, otherwise....i may be laying there next to her sleeping myself)....it is truly amazing to me that she (and her siblings) are here with us.....awesome!
